The institute has implemented a mentoring/parenthood system with specific objectives in mind:

  1. To provide guidance and support to the students.
  2. To improve the student-teacher relationship.
  3. To enhance the overall performance of the students.
  4. To assist students in exploring various career and future options.

Key points regarding the mentoring system:

  1. Each mentor or teaching faculty member is assigned as a guardian for a group of 20-25 mentees/students.
  2. Mentors are required to conduct fortnight meetings with their mentees to assess, monitor, counsel, and provide guidance.
  3. During counseling sessions, mentors should be cooperative and kind, aiming to gain the full confidence of their mentees.
  4. Mentors are responsible for recording the details of each student in the provided format.
  5. Confidentiality regarding any personal information shared by the students should be maintained by the mentors.
  6. All information, instructions, and notices should be communicated to the mentees through the group representative of the batch.
  7. Mentors have the authority to sanction leave (up to a maximum of 5 days) for their mentees based on their attendance and must inform the class teacher.
  8. Mentors should recommend students for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities as required to the respective heads.
  9. The head mentor of the class should receive a monthly oral report on all the mentees during meetings.
  10. Any observed case studies during the semester should be reported to the mentoring committee.
  11. Mentors are solely responsible and accountable for their group of students.

These guidelines outline the objectives and responsibilities of the mentoring system in the institute, aiming to provide support, guidance, and holistic development opportunities for the students.
