Standard of passing:

Promotion and award of grades

A student shall be declared PASS and eligible for getting grade in a course of B.Pharm. Program if he/she secures at least 50% marks in that particular course including internal assessment. For example, to be declared as PASS and to get grade, the student has to secure a minimum of 50 marks for the total of 100 including continuous mode of assessment and end semester theory examination and has to secure a minimum of 25 marks for the total 50 including internal assessment and end semester practical examination.

Carry forward of marks

In case a student fails to secure the minimum 50% in any Theory or Practical course, then he/she shall reappear for the end semester examination of that course. However his/her marks of the Internal Assessment shall be carried over and he/she shall be entitled for grade obtained by him/her on passing.

Improvement of internal assessment

A student shall have the opportunity to improve his/her performance only once in the Sessional exam component of the internal assessment. The re-conduct of the Sessional exam shall be completed before the commencement of next end semester theory examinations.

Re-examination of end semester examinations

Reexamination of end semester examination shall be conducted as per the schedule given in table XIII. The exact dates of examinations shall be notified from time to time

Carry forward Rules:
  1. Improvement of Class: Students are allowed to improve their class at the Final Year level by reappearing for the subjects they have not cleared. This usually applies to a minimum of three theory subjects from that examination.
  2. ATKT (Allowed to Keep Terms): The rules regarding ATKT and progression to the next class are determined and implemented by the University. These rules specify the conditions under which students are allowed to progress to the next class despite not clearing all subjects in the current class.

"Internal Examination Grievance Resolution Mechanism

  1. Students who are unable to participate in continuous assessment and sessional examinations due to medical reasons may be granted permission to take a re-examination. This permission must be obtained in advance from the Head of the Department (HOD) and the College Examination Officer. The student should submit an application and provide the necessary documents to the relevant authority.
  2. Students who have obtained less than 50% aggregate in the university examination or wish to improve their class/grade will be given the opportunity to appear for the theory subjects of the respective semester or class. The students can submit their applications within the specified timeline, and a schedule for improvement sessional examinations will be arranged. These examinations will follow the prescribed pattern.

"External Examination Grievance Resolution Mechanism

  1. To apply for examinations, students must register on the university web portal using a unique USER ID and mobile number along with password in student login at DBATU MIS portal. This is necessary as the university communicates examination details through email and SMS alerts.
  2. Students should contact their Class teacher/Examination team for any issues related to examinations, such as errors in names (spelling mistakes or name changes). The examination team handles grievances related to the examination application form. College examination officers communicate students' grievances through mail or letters.
  3. During university examinations, any issues regarding the ongoing examination should be reported to the examination team. They will then communicate the matter to the university for necessary corrective action.
  4. If a student experiences an accidental mishap or is physically challenged, they will be allowed to use a scribe facility. Separate seating arrangements will be made for them, and an additional 20 minutes per hour will be allotted for their examination.
  5. After the university results are declared, students who are not satisfied with their performance can apply for photocopies for verification. They can then proceed with the revaluation process according to the university's procedure.
