commitment to sustainability and our actions toward environmental
responsibility. We strive to create a positive impact on the environment by implementing
effective green practices and procedures consistently, as an integral part of
our operations rather than an occasional occurrence.
To achieve our vision of sustainability, we are dedicated
to undertaking the following actions:
1.
Waste Reduction and Proper
Disposal: We will actively work to decrease the amount of waste generated
within our organization and ensure its careful disposal, adhering to
environmentally sound practices.
2.
Green Knowledge Enhancement: We
are committed to continually increasing our understanding and knowledge of
green practices and sustainability. Through ongoing education and awareness
programs, we aim to stay informed about the latest advancements and best
practices in environmental sustainability.
To ensure the success of this policy, we will ensure that
all employees and students within our institute comprehend, implement, and
maintain its principles and associated procedures.

proper disposal, knowledge enhancement, awareness raising, education, and the
adoption of green initiatives, we strive to create a positive impact on the
environment and minimize our ecological footprint. We expect all employees and
students to actively participate in and uphold these principles for the benefit
of our shared planet.
v Guidelines
Regular
Energy, Environmental, and Green Audits: We will conduct timely audits to
assess our energy consumption, environmental impact, and adherence to green
practices. Any necessary corrective measures will be implemented based on the audit
findings.
•
Limited Vehicle Entry:
In
order to reduce emissions and promote sustainable transportation, we have
implemented limitations on vehicle entry within our campus. Additionally, we
encourage all college staff, faculty, and students to obtain timely emission
certifications for their vehicles.
•
Encouragement of Bicycle and Battery-Powered Vehicles:
To
further reduce emissions, we actively promote the use of alternative modes of
transportation such as bicycles or battery-powered vehicles. Public transport
and carpooling are also encouraged among employees and students.
•
Pedestrian-Friendly Pathways:
We
prioritize the creation of pedestrian-friendly pathways throughout our
institute. Any infrastructure modifications will be made with consideration for
pedestrian accessibility and safety.
•
Ban on Plastic Use:
As part of our commitment to a plastic-free
campus, we have implemented a complete ban on single-use plastics within our
institution's premises.
•
Landscaping with Trees and Plants:
We
aim to maintain a green environment by planting more trees within and outside
the campus. This contributes to cleaner air and a healthier ecosystem.
•
Measures for Energy Conservation:
We
encourage all members of our community to optimize the use of lights, fans, and
electronic devices by turning them off when not in use. Activation of
power-saving modes in devices and the use of LED or compact fluorescent bulbs
are also promoted. When procuring new equipment, energy conservation
considerations are taken into account, and the utilization of alternative
energy sources is actively promoted.
•
Digital Library / E-Learning Centre:
We
promote the use of e-resources such as e-books and online journals, favoring
them over hard copies whenever possible. Official communications should be
conducted through email or messaging services to minimize paper usage. The
utilization of learning management systems and e-platforms is also encouraged.
•
e-Governance:
Measures
will be implemented to promote e-governance, streamlining administrative
processes and reducing paper consumption. Duplex printing should be practiced
whenever feasible to minimize paper usage.
•
Waste Management:
Adequate
waste disposal bins are available throughout the premises and campus, and it is
essential for everyone to use them appropriately. Strict adherence to separate
disposal of dry, wet, electronic, and biomedical waste is required. Chemical
and laboratory waste should be disposed of properly using suitable methods such
as dilution or chemical treatment.
•
Water Management:
Water
conservation is a priority, and all members of our community are expected to
use water wisely. Measures to prevent water wastage during experiments and
daily activities should be implemented. Water recycling and rainwater
harvesting systems are promoted as part of our water conservation efforts. When
developing new infrastructure, careful planning is done in alignment with our
green and environmental policy.
•
Adherence to Rules and Regulations:
It
is mandatory for all individuals associated with our institute to strictly
adhere to the rules and regulations mentioned above.
